Railways 　　 　　The railway that will link MamattohtiSawut with the outside world is the Kashgar-Hotan Railway. With a total length of 488km and a total investment of 5.07 billionyuan ($742.31 million), the railway startsfrom the existing Kashgar Railway Stationand ends in Hotan along the southwesternedge of the Taklamakan Desert. Passingthrough 10 cities and counties, the railwayincludes 33 newly built stations and is sched-uled for completion by the end of 2010.
